The Project includes the renovation of a single-story 8,500 square foot non-reinforced masonry building and grounds for use as a girl's youth center and administration offices designed by Ricky G. Mason, AIA for Collaborative Design Architects.
The interior design parti is based on a central public core zone with private offices and classrooms located along the perimeter. Materials and details were selected for appearance economy and maintenance and include stained concrete floors, up-lit ceilings and a playful use of color and art to bring the building interior to life.
The exterior design includes heavy timber trellis / canopy signage and paint to make entrances easily identifiable and improve building streetscape appearance.
