The land was purchased from the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency which required that the development be architecturally sensitive to the surrounding area which included the new City Facility that shares the entry to the site. The site is located in an Industrial Planned Development Area.
The site is about 25,000 s.f (an infill site) with adjacent industrial uses.
The design program was to create a corporate image for a successful interior cabinet manufacturing company,that would also incorporate a show room for their cabinetry. The building needed to be reflective of their attention to detail and be respective of the surrounding scale of it's neighbors while providing a fresh new architectural look.
The building is one story with 10,500 s.f. which incorporates business offices, show room and manufacturing area. The architecture is a traditional style with some Crafteman features / details.
The exterior design includes articulated eave outlookers, decorative railings, textured masonry block and a standing seam roof.
